The Anybus CompactCom modules are today using the Anybus NP30 processor. These modules are used for communication between industrial machines and larger network protocols. The communication loads on these systems are increasing every day and the limiting factor for the system is the processor.HMS, the company that develops the Anybus CompactCom, has shown interest for a benchmark test between the old processor and a new processor, ARM Cortex-M3. This project includes that benchmark. To be able to get results that reflect reality a test environment was created to simulate Anybus CompactCom conditions.

Grundsyftet med denna experimentella minnesstudie var att jämföra två minnesteknikers effektivitet på associativt minne hos en studentpopulation. Vidare undersöktes hur minnesteknikerna i kombination med divergent tänkande eller genereringseffekten påverkar associativt minne. 32 psykologstudenter genomförde hela testet där de först utförde alternate uses task för att mäta individuella skillnader i divergent tänkande. Testpersonerna studerade sedan 89 ordpar antingen genom tekniken enhetskapande där ett enhetligt objekt gjordes av ordparet (ex. fruktlampa) eller satsbyggande där orden sattes in separat i en mening tillsammans med ett opassande verb (ex.

Psykopater är väl representerade i fångvårdsanstalter och mer än 50 procent av de allvarliga brotten utförs utav psykopater. Man uppmärksammar dock inte de laglydiga psykopaterna med ett konventionellt beteende. Tidigare forskning visar att psykopater har olika neurologiska underskott i hjärnan, men få studier uppmärksammar neurologiska skillnader mellan laglydiga och kriminella psykopater. Syftet med denna uppsats är att förklara de neurologiska skillnaderna mellan kriminella och laglydiga psykopater, samt hur dessa skillnader är kopplade till kriminellt beteende. Detta för att ge en ökad kunskap för psykopati och en förståelse till varför de kriminella psykopaterna begår brott.

SammanfattningDenna rapport utreder hur ett pekskärmsanvändargränssnitt kan implementeras på Syntronic AB?s hård- och mjukvaruplattform baserad på ARM Cortex-M3.Ett pekskärmsanvändargränssnitt kräver två system, ett tryckkänsligtsystem för att detektera och positionera när användaren ger input till systemet och en skärm för att presentera ett grafiskt användargränssnitt.Rapporten börjar med att beskriva de tillgängliga teknikerna för pekpaneler och skärmar. Detta syftar till att ge djupare kunskap om de olika teknologierna och deras för- och nackdelar. Denna kunskap används sedan för att i samarbete med Syntronic AB utvärdera de olika teknologierna utifrån Syntronic AB?s krav.

Uppsatsen är en litteraturstudie där det huvudsakliga syftet är att utifrån nyare studier undersöka de tydligaste effekterna på hjärnfunktion och struktur av långvarigt praktiserande av mindfulness utifrån vipassana- och zenmeditation.

Elekta is a medical technology company and their main product in the Stockholm office is a gamma knife used for radiosurgery. The gamma knife contains a cluster of a dozen motor servos and motors used for adjusting the patient and the radiation sources over a CAN bus. A self-developed hardware-in-loop simulator running on a PC with LabVIEW is currently being used for integration level testing of the control system of the gamma knife. The simulator has some problems with it not running in real-time and having other performance issues.

The aim of this particular literature study is to determine whether or not the African elephant may host feelings of empathy and display altruistic behaviour. In search for an answer to this question, scientists have chosen to first evaluate the cognitive abilities of said species. They have done this through the testing of tool use, mirror self-recognition, memory and the ability to coordinate with another when performing a task etc. It is generally thought, that in order for complex emotion to exist within an individual, cognition, as an awareness of the self and others, must first be present.

An experiment was conducted with eight deaf participants and eight participants with normal hearing. The participants were between the ages of 18-74 years. The participants were asked to look at fifteen different images portraying manipulated illusions, and then assess if the images were of the same size. Subsequently another image depicting a different illusion with a face hidden in it was presented to the participants.
